Seth Chitwood is a senior at Barrington High School and is planning to major in musical theater. Stage Credits include; Barrington Community Theater’s Into the Woods (Old Man). BEST’s How To Succeed In Business (Bud Frump). Stage Master’s The Wizard of Oz (Lion), and the Un-Common Theater’s Sweeney Todd (Judge Turpin) among other roles. He has also directed Jack vs. Jill and Sideways Stories. He just received the ’08 Barrington Drama Festival Best Director Award for his direction of Going to School, and won Best Director Award, Ensemble Acting Award, and Second Place in the ’07 Barrington Drama Festival for his direction of The Katrina Project: Hell and High Waters.
Seth’s recently premiered Spidered, my web of fear, a documentary about him getting over his fear of spiders. It received honorable mention in the ‘08 Torrington, Conn. Film Festival. In 8th grade, he premiered the film Stress 101 about relieving stress. The film won Honorable Mention at the Torrington, Conn. Film Festival, premiered at the Rhode Island International Film Festival (RIIFF), and showcased in the Rhode Island’s 2006 “Best of the Fest” showcase. He is currently working on the documentary 21 Days talking about the illness Steven Johnsons Syndrome, as well as, a solo-performance, due to arrive in March; called One Bay, One Voice, a fundraiser to raise money for Save the Bay.
